The Integration Circle

Whether you're a seasoned psychedelic explorer or simply finding your way, this open circle offers a space to gather with others in your local community to reflect, process, and share expanded state experiences.

Come give voice to your altered state experiences, whether transcendental, scary, troubling, inspiring, or something completely different. All are welcome, and it doesn't matter if they were recent or long ago.

Integration group

We will listen to one another with open hearts, as this is not a time to offer judgment, criticism, or even interpretation of someone else's story. If we are moved by something we have heard, we will comment on what it brings up or the themes we notice. We can also discuss practices that help support the integration process and discuss harm reduction considerations for future planned experiences.

In each gathering, four people will have the opportunity to take space of about 20 minutes each. This time can be used to talk and also to open up to the group for reflections. People have reflected how equally rich it has been to take the role of witness in the group and see how they can relate to the universal, archetypal themes that emerge from another's journey.

Please be aware that the circle does not permit the use of psychedelics or other psychoactive drugs during group meetings. Following the law, we don't encourage substance use, provide illicit substances, or provide referrals to illegal psychedelic services.

FAQs

  • The circle runs for 2 hours with a brief break in the middle. Please arrive 5 minutes early—or 10 if you’d like to make a cup of tea to bring in with you!

  • Once everyone has arrived and said hello, we begin with a chime and a short grounding meditation. There is then the opportunity for each person to share their name and what has brought them to the group.

We will then invite people to raise their hand if they would like the opportunity to take one of the 20-minute time slots and work out as a group what order people will take. Each person decides how to use their 20 minutes. They can spend the whole time sharing their experiences and reflections, or they can use some of the time to open up to the group for reflections and/or questions. On occasion, someone might bring with them a relevant piece of music, a poem they have written, or a picture to help them express themselves. After the first two people have shared, we will have a brief loo break and time to grab a drink before proceeding with the second two shares. We usually end with a poem for contemplation and a chime.

  • Absolutely. We usually have a combination of new and regular people coming each time and it is a very friendly and open space.

  • No, not at all. You may have experienced an expanded state spontaneously or through breathwork or meditation. You may simply be curious. Everyone is welcome.
