Psychedelic Preparation & Integration

What a natural human instinct it is to want to dive beneath the surface layers of our existence and explore the unconscious realms. We might want to know what more there is to life, what meaning we can make of it, or what our soul’s purpose is. We might want to blow the lid of the seemingly mundane restraints of our everyday and journey into other realms where the ‘I’ dissolves and we are one with everything. We might have heard about other people’s life-changing experiences and are longing for a shift, a release, or a sense of deeper healing. We might be seasoned explorers but feel left haunted by the visions we had, or like the wonder and insights fade away and leave us hungry for more.

Whichever reason you have found your way here, it is likely you are holding in mind some sort of inquiry that wants to be heard.

Psychedelic preparation sessions are an opportunity to listen to your soul’s calling for something else and to focus your intentions for your journey ahead. There is a great deal known now about the importance of (mind)set and (environment)setting in influencing the outcome of an expanded state experience. The clearer you can be on what you are seeking and what you need with you to support you to have the most optimum conditions for your trip, the more likely you are to get your needs met, and the less likely you are to return with more than you can manage to process.

Psychedelic integration sessions are here to do just that. Expanded state experiences can be profound, beautiful, challenging, but often also disorienting. Without giving time and space to integrate, the insights revealed may remain abstract, overwhelming, or difficult to actualise. It can feel quite lonely and hard to share what you’ve been through if your friends and family find it hard to relate to. Usually this deep exploration works best within a safely held container. Integration work helps bridge the gap between the experience itself and real-life change. It also is an opportunity to honor the experience and give reverence to the plants and practices that have supported us.

Together, we tailor these sessions to meet you where you are. They can involve processing through words and/or creative means; breathwork and embodied practices are usually helpful, as can the use of ritual, music, movement, and nature connection. We also run The Integration Circle

FAQs

  • The simple answer is ‘no’. I am not licensed to prescribe psychedelic medicines and it is currently illegal in the UK to offer psychedelic sessions. So please don’t ask me for either of these. However, as you can see from this website, Aaron and I do offer legal breathing practices which enable access to expanded state experiences

  • One-off or short-term psychedelic integration sessions separate from psychotherapy are 90 minutes and cost £125.

  • It will be helpful for us to have an initial 20-minute call (which is free of charge), during which I can find out what you are looking for support with, and together we can work out a plan. Contact us to book your initial call.

  • Focus on the 6 main pillars of self-support if you can: sleep, hydration, nutrition, body movement, connection with others, and time in nature. Creative practices such as journaling, drawing, or playing music can all be helpful to meet you with whatever it is you’re feeling. See you if you stay with an attitude of curiosity and compassion towards yourself and your experience.
